Wednesday seaday 2
Wow these beds are hard! I’d read a bit about how hard they are but I thought we should try them out first before we go worrying about sleep. We slept not too badly considering. We opened the curtains early to see an amazing sunrise!
Tony and I woke early so we readied ourselves and gathered the parents for breakfast. The kids needed to sleep in of course. We opted for the main dining room as from experience it’s much quieter than the Windjammer buffet.
We chose the savoury option - Tony had the bespoke omelet and I had standard eggs bene. We didn’t want to over do it as we had big plans for lunch.
We managed to find a general knowledge trivia at 1000 so that helped pass the time. The parents are struggling to get acclimated. Floor numbering is complicated it seems, as is fore and aft.
Tony and I decided to treat us all to a special lunch at Jamie’s Italian. More than we could eat of course but it was delish. We never made it to Jamie’s when it was open at home so it was nice to get an idea of what it was like. The food was certainly fresh and tasty! Lots of lasagne for our table and it was good, although not as good as mine it seems š
The afternoon was then all set for napping so we retired to our rooms until dinner. Dinner was in the main dining room and none of us was really too hungry, but we did our best. Nate is enjoying the prawn cocktails it seems!
We decided to go and see the production show tonight which was called Sequins and Feathers. While some of the music was a bit unknown, the costumes were good, the singers in tune and the dancing was in time. No one was set on fire so that was already better than the last cruise!
We’re trying to stick to a routine in terms of sleep and getting up - clocks go forward an hour again tonight, meaning 1 hr less sleep. We got a mattress topper added to our bed today so here’s hoping it’s not as hard tonight.
